Custom 3D printing in Brighton
Got something in mind that we don't have on the stall? We take on custom prints — one-offs, gifts, replacement parts, props, club and business pieces. If you can describe it, there's a good chance we can print it.
1. Tell us the idea
Message us on social media with a photo, a sketch, or just a description. There is no such thing as too rough a starting point.
2. We work it out
We'll talk through size, colour and finish, tell you honestly whether it will print well, and agree a price and a timescale before anything starts.
3. We print it
Printed by us here in Brighton, checked over, and ready to collect at Brighton Open Market or arrange from there.
What you can send us
You don't need to be technical. Most people send us a photo or a description and we take it from there.
- An idea or a sketch — a drawing on the back of an envelope is genuinely fine.
- A photo — of the thing you want, or the broken part you need replacing.
- A ready-made model file — we accept STL and 3MF. Send it over and we'll check it prints cleanly before we start.
If you have bought or downloaded a design from an independent maker, do say — we are careful about printing other people's work and we credit the designers whose pieces we sell.
What we can print
Size
We can print up to 256 × 256 × 256 mm — that's roughly 25cm in every direction, about the size of a football. If your idea is bigger than that, still ask: plenty of things can be printed in sections and joined so you'd never know.
Materials
We keep five different filaments, and we'll steer you to the right one for the job — it makes a real difference to how a piece lasts.
- PLA
- Our everyday material. Sharp detail and the widest choice of colours — ideal for models, ornaments, gifts and toys. Best kept out of a hot car.
- PETG
- Tougher than PLA and copes better with heat and damp. A good choice for anything practical or that lives outdoors.
- ABS
- Strong and heat-resistant. What we reach for when a part has a hard life ahead of it.
- PVB
- Can be polished to a smooth, glossy finish — worth considering when appearance matters more than muscle.
- TPU
- Flexible and rubbery rather than rigid. Grips, bumpers, cases and anything that needs to bend or squash.
Files
We accept STL and 3MF files. If that means nothing to you, it genuinely doesn't matter — most people send us a photo or a sketch and we work from that.
Things worth knowing
- Size and colour — we'll tell you what's possible before you commit, and what it will look like at that size.
- Timescales — larger pieces take longer to print. We'll agree a realistic date with you rather than promise a day we can't hit.
- Price — quoted up front, based on the size and the time on the printer. No surprises at the end.
- Repairs and spares — a surprising amount of what we print is a small plastic part someone can't buy any more. Ask.
